Met on arrival at Colombo airport and transferred to Negombo for the night.
Overnight: Negombo
The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage en route to Kandy, then the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and a cultural dance performance in the evening.
Overnight: Kandy
The Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya and a tour of Kandy, with the evening at leisure.
Overnight: Kandy
Up into the hill country — tea plantations, waterfalls and the “Little England” of Sri Lanka.
Overnight: Nuwara Eliya
A free day in the cool of the hills. Victoria Park and the tea factories are both worth the time.
Overnight: Nuwara Eliya
Down to the coast via Kitulgala and the waterfalls, then the beach for the rest of the trip.

At leisure. Turtle hatchery, Galle Fort and river boat trips are all available locally.
